Well, it's on for a few weeks and most places will be stocking Starkbier. How about a trek down to the Hofbrauhaus for a change? Haven't been there in a while

Sounds like a good option was going to head there last friday but had to go home and get some sleep before boarding.

So Options:

Are we boarding on Sunday this week? If so, Friday night sounds good for me. Hofbrauhaus gets busy though so do you think we'd have to reserve a table?

Anil: if Hofbrauhaus gets chosen, it'll be easy for you. Its in the centre of the city and we can all meet up somewhere before walking over.

I would take anywhere you can get a table. That second place looks way nicer though. The band at hofbrau wouldn't even play our song unless we paid them and it was one they play anyway

ok- so I'm up for changing the venue (cheers ed bob). Just phone HH and you can only reserve tables in the restaurant i.e. not on the ground floor and we'd have to have food. Otherwise it's a case of turning up and seeing if there are places free.

If there are gonna be a lot of us turning up I guess we should try and book somewhere if it's possible. Have a feeling beerhalls pretty much enlist a "first come first serve" policy though...

Pretty much. I don't mind getting there early since I'm already sacrificing the football this week - I could be there for 6 ish.

I'd like to try Nockherberg, but there's plenty of time for that.

ok, just been reading reviews of Nockherberg. Looks great! But we should reserve a table for sure. I can't phone for a few hours (teleconference) but if someone else could nominate...??

If there are no tables at Nockherberg (thanks for the info EB) then RL powering through from 6 sounds good, should get table getting there so early surly!!

Well, considering the Starkbierfest starts at 2pm that day as far as I know, that might be doubtful. Hofbrauhaus is hard enough to get a table at around 6 ish, let alone Nockherberg on Starkbierfest. Definitely best if we can reserve a table, but we'd need to be there sharpish to avoid losing it. If we can't get a table reserved in Nockherberg prior to, say, about 2pm on Friday - we should just go to the Hofbrauhaus and leave Nockherberg for the next one.

I'd agree with that recommendation.

If all else fails we could go bowling again and drink the €5 masses there. If they let us back in after last time...
