when they come later this year during the Champion's league playoffs, I'll be coming down to Munich to see the game!!

anyone else here like RM???
mad
RM is REAL here because of the EURO 2004. Neat dudes with lovely tight asses... cool.gif

If it comes to watching them, then any REAL football fan will always say yes. If there is a game Real against Bayern I will be in, saw the last one Real against Bayern in 2001. Great game.

Chumpions League is a load of old crap.
pepper
Depends who you are watching, same games are amazing.

No, the whole competition is a joke.
fototaker
siLLy you Mad!!! Real is the spanish word for "roYal"... so demmed upon any group, organization or whatever OnLy by the queen and king of Spain. so remember dat if you see the word: "real" in front of a proper name...

also: is pronounced ree AL

I am a huge RM fan! Gonna be there!

Cheers!

I think, although I could be wrong, that Mad was saying that Real is what we refer to Real Madrid as here rather than RM.
Katrina
Out of courtesy to my guapas here at work who are all from Barcelona and Valencia, I cannot be pro-Real Madrid.
The Barca fans that I know can't even be happy on principle when Raul scores for Spain...
Anyway, yeah I was at the 2001 Bayern-Real Madrid match and have got tickets for Bayern-Juve next week smile.gif
Topsy
Did I miss a rule change here?
How come everybody's so sure that Real are coming to Munich?

Nah, I think you mean the idea of Oldham ever qualifying for it is a joke. wink.gif

Katrina: i have worked/liVed in the Barcelona area and all catalans hate spaniards... they treat normal spanish people like dogs... the catalans want their region to be separate from the rest of the country, thence their own "government" and language...

Not going into politics so CHANGE suBject:

when i was liVing in Barcelona, I would go to this smelly, smoky little bar ten minutes from where i lived. i am allergic to cigarette smoke, along with 10,000,001 other things (like money) under the sun. they cooked my food while smoking, and watching the RM/Barca game, i didnt know what was more funny/more interesting: the game on the tiny screen i could barely see for the smoke, or the people watching!!!

cant wait to see RM in Munich!! it'll be MY first ever soccer game in person!!!

perhaps we can all meet and sit together for the game, all us here from TTM??

tis onLy an idea/proposal!! ;D

Madrid's always come to Munich (almost) every year/winter... i think perhaps last year they didnt (can't remember). the only thing i HATE about being here in Germany is i dont have a suitable tele (left my 29" PAL tele in Spain) and i am missing ALL the RM games!!!
Topsy
Real don't always come to Munich. It depends on the draw (which takes place on Dec 17th, btw). So don't get your hopes up too high.
You're also assuming that they'll make it through the group stages. With the results they are getting at the moment, that's quite an assumption.
pepper
@ fototaker - This is like Bayern, they also think of themselves as a own little country. Bayern even want their own representatives in the EU, instead of being represented from Germany !

Lets hope the draw does pair Munich with Madrid, I saw the 2001 game, and it was pretty good, the atmosphere was amazing.
fototaker
topsy: you're right... RM hasnt been too good and their winning steeak DIED last year... but it even happens to champs!!! i am hoping though they WiLL make it this year!!

i need a tele!!! sad.gif

pepper: WE gotta get together and form our own toytowngermany.com cheering section!!! if the team comes to Munich, who'll come to the stadium to cheer on the world's best team???
canuck
Real Madrid sucks. What are they...10th place now?? Barca is da best.
jordigo
putomadriz<barf> sang cule, cor catala! forca barca!

hahahahaaaaaaaa. okay, let's stay polite HeRe!!!

jordigo.. thanx for showing us, once more, how open-minded, polite, charming and respectful catalonyans are..
(and then u can keep wondering, "why is it that the rest of spain think the worse of us? huh.gif " )

Next Saturday at 10pm, the most awaited derby between F.C. Barcelona and Real Madrid will take place...again . Does anyone know where it can be seen in Munich ??? I can't wait to see Barça stuffing 4 or 5 goals down the throat of Beckham and co. tongue.gif
CodeRed
anyone in need of Real Madrid baseball caps? I have a few left (white with RM sign in front)...would let them go for a small fee. PM me if interested.
3 Lions
@jmm1 - Günther Murphys or The Arc will show the game.
pepper
Sorry cannot see Barca stuffing Real, as currently Real are the most improved team in Spain.
Katrina
This thread has gone kind of quiet. Hmmm. Barcelona 3 - 0 Real Madrid
pepper
I would say a bit of a shock, but it is still early days yet, and now Barca have lost Larsson for the rest of the season. There is still the return leg in Madrid to go yet.

Larsson out for rest of season

After the shocking display of the fans at the Spain vs. England game the whole of Spain is delighted with the result. Very ugly scenes before the game with the Barcelona fans demonstrating their anger to the Real Madrid team (bottles, stones etc... thrown at the team bus).

Nice one Barcelona
jmm1
Again, last night, those superstars in white shirt deserved a loss but thanks to a friendly referee and a very friendly Bayer side, they got away with a tie. If they keep improving like this, they may find themselves playing the very improved UEFA cup or the highly improved spanish second division biggrin.gif
Katrina
I found the huge sign in the stadium a nice touch: "BARCELONA IS NOT SPAIN" (yes, in English).
pepper
Yeah the Catalans are worse than Bayern. They speak a completely different language ! and hate the idea they are a part of Spain !

As for the game last night ! @ jmm1 were we watching the same game ? the first half Real sucked ! but the second half, Real dominated, so a draw was pretty much a fair result. Figo and Zidane seem to have had their day !
jmm1
@Katrina: It was "Catalonia is not Spain". This sign was later confiscated by the police without any justifiable reason. Seems that their understanding of "freedom of speech" varies quite much depending of the subject dry.gif

Wasn't it Spain v England not Real Madrid v England??... but fair enough

Real were shocking last night and didn't deserve a win. The portly firgure of ronaldo seems to have lost his legs and raul was crap apart from a couple of brief moments. Bringing morientes on when he hasn't scored in a white shirt for yonks wasn't exactly a stroke of genius either. Only a bit of magic from figo saved the day..
pepper
Was surprised a little by Morientes coming on and not Michael Owen. Owen has something like 5 goals in 8 games. Not a bad return !
tench
Genau.. ¿dónde estaba owen?

@jmm1:I take that back
boomtown_rat
Beckham is a bit crap these days too. I rate Hargreaves more than him
