Help me find Gesine Winkler and her son Christian - Munich

I would like for someone in Munich to call any and all Listings for a Christian Winkler, I have been attempting to reach him for 42 years.The real reason however is that I am looking for his Mother her name is Gesine Winkler. Her last known address was :Paradieser strasse, if i can remember correctly the number was 21, this was in 1966. I was in the American Military and they forced me to come back to the States. I have been trying to find her since. Eventhough I am happily married at this Time it would be nice to tough base with her to find out how She and Christian are doing.CAN ANYONE HELP ME? If you have a date of birth for either Christian or Gesine you can direct an inquiry to the Kreisverwaltungsreferat, the date makes it easier to locate the person you are looking for. The costs are between €5 and €10, depending how far back they have to go and which database they access.

I wish to thank the Two people that have already replied. I was aware of the fact that there are 6 to 10 listings for Christian Winkler in Munich several of which are businesses. The Christian that I am looking for would be around 42 years old and his Mother would be about 60 to 62years old. Regretfully I do not remember birth dates. I have gone the Standesampts route and without more specific information They where unable to help me to much.This is why I was hoping that perhaps someone would attempt to call the few Phone numbers available and maybe I could get Lucky.

Oh ja one other thing Gesine Winkler used to love to hang out at the small Cafe next to the Kammerspiele on Maximillian str. She was a PT Fashion model and also part time Actress.

So if you speak the language an you have the numbers, what IS the reason you'd like somebody else to do the phonecalls?

I suppose it's because I am to cheap. I am in the U.S. and last time I tried to do that by the time I called three of the Numbers (Do not remember which once they where) it ended up costing me about $60.00 Dollars and unfortunatley I am not independently wealthy. If I were I would probably go over there and try to find her. I was also not aware that this would be such a big deal. Those of you that attempted to help -THANK YOU. Those that appear to have a real problem with my request -Just forget I ever ask.

42 years is a dam long time to looking for someone. Haven't you tried some of the persons family members or common aquaintances.

Had you saved 1c per day over that period and you'd have $153.30 now and could have made the calls. Oh well.

nnwhitestallion, you may not be aware that local calls are not free in Germany most of the time. They are starting to introduce flat rates for landlines, but a call even to your neighbor's house costs money, unlike in the States. I think that is why people are perhaps less than enthusiastic about helping.

Thank you for your input. And no I was not aware of that I thought that perhaps as with most everything else, Germany would have caught up with the U.S by now. That is the only reason I ask .

Come on... you are claiming to be looking for a friend but obviously are looking for your son, haven't seen him since he was born (or didn't try to get in contact) and are not willing to spend a couple of bucks on some phone calls? From Germany, I can call New Zealand for about 2c a minute. From the US, to make three short calls to Germany you pay 60$. I the light of that, how do you explain your above statement?

Personally, I don't believe the crap about the 60$; I'm sure there are ways in the US to do this cheaper too. I think it's YOU who hasn't caught up with the rest of the world.

Call your phone company and find out how much it will cost, then ask if there is a cheaper option. Even if there isn't, i think you owe it to your son to spend 60 bucks, in light of the fact he was raised without his father. Actually, don't bother he probably doesn't have anything nice to say to you anyway.

I hope you decide to stop being such a cheap-o and actually invest some kind of realistic money to find your illegitimate son. Maybe the mother will be so happy to hear from you that she’ll go and request that you pay all the back child support that you should have paid. After all, you knocked her up and then took off (willing or not, you still didn’t make an attempt to keep in touch until 42 years later).

WhiteStallion, if you are at all like my parents, then you probably are not so up-to-date on the telephone possibilities. Call your phone company and tell them what you need. They will help.

It is more than likely that the people you will call will speak a little bit of English (enough for you to find out what you need).

Are you sure that's the name of the street? I did find a Paradiesstraße (in Lehel) or Pariser Straße (in Haidhausen) also, what's Christian's birthdate? Might help to minimize the google results. I think Gesine might be harder to find since she's probably gotten (re)married since then.

Jaysus... he is looking for a "friend" who is 42 years old. He meet the mother of this "friend" 42 years ago. He hasn't been in contact with his friend or the mother in 42 years. His chosen username incl. the word stallion... that's better than Saturday Night!

I don't think this is about the cost of the calls at all. After all this time there are good reasons to approach through a third party. For all we know Christian may not even know he has an American father, if indeed he has. I would advise against getting involved here unless you know what you are doing and have the time to see it through. It is clearly a bit more than making a few phone phone calls to find someone.

@ mystery: His hobbies are painting and photography but he is in fact a civil engineer, judging from his education.

But: Gesine may have married and given Christian her married name, so there's no guarantee that this guy is indeed the possible love-child of our Bucking Bronco.

#1. Christain is NOT my Son He was born befor I meet Gesine
#2. Several of you are correct when You say that Gesine may have Married someone and thereby Changing her Name to her married Name.
#3. Gesine was a good friend However I only knew her for a short time befor I was sent back to the states. Yes we did have some good times together but not like some of you perverts evidently think.
#4.Since I did know about Christian ( although I had only seen him once) I felt that perhaps if when Gesine married someone he may still have the Name of Winkler and that I may be able to locate them that way.
#5. Rest assured if Christian was my Son the military would not have been able to separate us he would be here with me.

There used to be another site on this computor that helped me locate several friends from my time in Germany. You see my Mother was German and therefor so was I until I came to the states. The people that I had all the information for I have been able to locate over the years and rekindled old friendships.However as this site has shown me the world has turned into a society of perverts. The name white stallion came from a picture that is quite popular in the states
where there is a stallion leading a heard of horses. I picked that name as a Citzen band radio call sign and nothing further. I do wish to thank the people that where kind enough to take my side without Jumping to conclussions like Some of you ...

Below I explain how to get 6 hours of calling time from U.S. to Germany for only $5.

First, I want to say that making international calls from the U.S. can be VERY expensive (dollars per minute), unless you sign up for an international calling plan through your long-distance phone company. For something like $4.99 a month, you get reasonable rates (in the range of cents per minute) but you are often limited to calling 1 foreign country. If you've made an international call without a subscription to and international calling plan, I've found a trick. If you call the phone company shortly thereafter they can retroactively subscribe you to the international calling plan. I was able to do this, so you may want to try to do that too.

Now, the cheapest way of making international calls is NOT by subscribing to any calling plans. Instead you should go online and get yourself a pre-paid "calling card". First, you will dial a local number, then you will punch in a code, then the number you are calling. It's very easy.

Unless you plan to make calls regularly (which I don't think is the case), you should buy a card for $5 that has NO monthly maintenance fee. Scroll down and check out the "Jupiter" card, for 1.4 cents/ minute. That will get you 6 hours of call time, expiring after 10 months. As noted, rates to German cell phone numbers cost more (12.5¢/min). It is easy to add additional funds to your card if you need to recharge it. Click on the "Local Access" link to find a local number to make your calls, or use a 1-800 number.

I can't personally recommend the Jupiter card. I've used the "Champion" card, which at that time, was the least expensive card with no monthly maintenance fee.
