New in Augsburg (or new to this forum)

Hi everyone!
My name is Adrian and i am living in Augsburg since January... and i am searching for new friends here... because i am alone right now and that is pretty upsetting. I thought that it will be easier here to make friends, but it is not like i expected. Usually i am free every night, after work, and in weekends. So, if there is anyone that is in the same situation like me, please don't hesitate to write back. I can also speak pretty ok german.

I think there are a good few on here from Augsburg, take a look at members distribution.

When i lived there i always used to go in the Dudelsack and was usually a good night.

If you are interested in kayaking then you might want to keep an eye on the Munich kayaking threads as we travel over to Augsburg on occaision to use the paddling course there.

Even if you're not interested in paddling you might want to hook up and join the BBQ/picnic that usually accompanies these visits.

First of all, thank you for your advices... i have notice that i can rely on you support. I hope it will be easier as time will pass, because home, i had very very much friends, and it's a strange feeling to be here and not to know anyone. I hope i will meet some people from TT and we will become friends.
If you have any new advices, or anyone organize something, even if this is in Munich, please let me know and if the time allows me i will come right away.

I am moving to Munich shortly (about 3 weeks) and although I will be there with my boyfriend, I don't know anyone else and would love to meet more people! I don't know much about Augsburg...so reading all this advice from fellow members is helpful!! Thanks!

Hi everyone, I am currently doing an internship in Augsburg (until end of June) and would love to meet up with some English-speaking people. I am originally Swedish, but have lived abroad in different places for the past 10 years (I'm 20, female) or so. I am almost fluent in German and I also like to play sports (soccer, frisbee, badminton, etc). Ive been living in Augsburg for 2 years now. Im American from NY/PA I have a nice circle of friends both English speaking and German. Dont hesitate to call me if you want to hang out or drop by my art studio. Im usually there painting. I also teach English at Inlingua and that has definately helped my social life.

a good place to find fellow expats is the Flannigan´s Post near Königsplatz, or the Murdock´s Irish Pub near Rotes Tor.

I like to invite every newbie to Rugby practise with RFC Augsburg www.augsburg-rugby.de.

when I went to NZ the rugby team was the best thing that ever happened to me. Where else can you meet up to 20 guys, have fun and hang out without feeling like a stranger.
Our team has all kinds of nationalities and everyone is welcome.

We do have a women´s team as well!

So if you are new to augsburg don´t be shy, meet us at practise or ask the barman at the Post (Michele or Antonio) or at Murdock´s (ask for Jim).

Next home game will be at the 18.10. at the SV Stadtwerke.
