I was born and raised in the area but moved to England when I was ten years old where I finished my education. I am fluent in both German and English. I still have very strong ties to the town of Halle due to family residing in and around the city. I currently live in the uk and have done so for 13 years now. Iam interested in the position could you please give me some information about the post,
Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's against European legislation to make being a native speaker of a language a job requirement.

Thanks boys.
Ok, forget the "Must be native speaker" bit. Let's go for "Must be awfully good at English."

If I remember correctly, you can say "must have native-level ..." but 'tis not allowed to say "must have ... as a mother tongue".
Germany though implemented the equality legislation later than most of the rest of Europe and you still see ads here sometimes with specifying mothersprachler, or even age or gender.

What do you mean by "European" legislation? Are you talking about the EU or Europe in general? I don't think that such a law would make much sense, by the way because a language school has lots of opportunities to limit their job offers to native speakers.
