The German would be "Vollkorn" but as 99% of pasta is sold in packaging you can see thrugh one could just like, look when you are at the shops.

I get mine from DM drogerie, their brand is Alnatura. Reasonable price and good quality.
I also know that Barilla has a range of Vollkornpasta

We usually get Barilla vollkorn noodles at Edeka...so check there if you have one near you. We've also tried the bio vollkorn stuff from Lidl and I didn't like it much... the Barilla noodles are really good though

We get the Barilla wholegrain pasta too, it's available at some Tengelmann and Hit too. It's much better than most other wholegrain brands I've tried. It also has 'Integrali' all over it if you don't like German wink.gif

I definatey agree about Alnatura having really good Vollkorn pasta. If you're into organic-type foods, they also have decent Müsli, tea etc.

You can also order stuff from Gefro

Barilla gets my vote too! Not tried Alnatura pasta but their food is pretty good most of the time.

Yes, look for packages that have "Vollkorn" written on it. This means it's whole grain, but not necessarily whole wheat. I prefer Vollkorn pasta made from Hartweizen (durum wheat) much better than the kind made from Dinkel (spelt).

You'll often find that the only Vollkorn pasta a supermarket stocks is a Bio brand and so is kept in the Bio section instead if with the rest of the pasta. I missed a lot of products like wholegrain rice and pulses for a while before realising this.

We buy our wholewheat bio pasta from Aldi. It's cheap but VERY good quality. You can also buy excellent Italian olive oil from Aldi and super wine (Spanish, German etc.)
Some people scoff at Aldi, but we find it excellent value for money.

I get the bio wholewheat pasta from Aldi as well. I am very happy with it. I agree Aldi is excellent value for money. I also find the fruit and veg there not bad value.

We eat both the Barilla and the Bio brand from Edeka. The Bio is cheaper normally (79c/500gm) and at least as good.

Agreed. Barilla satisfies my picky Italian taste wink.gif
I have seen it in some REWE shops as well
