Can anyone recommend a venue (pension, guest house, small hotel) which could accommodate up to 30 people, with a decent restaurant with good walking close by? I am thinking somewhere towards the mountains, any direction, would be perfect.
Hoping to find somewhere with a little charm in case its pissing down and everyone stays inside. Havent got a clue where to start so any hints/tips/suggestions would be gratefully received.

Kloster Irsee? We use it for business conferences.
Hotel Krone, Berchtesgaden...just went last weekend with 21 people overnight. Brilliant time and walking distance to everything in town.
Schloss Neuhaus
This place was fantastic. Two nights costs €140/person, but that includes breakfast and dinner (2x) and all you can drink. They make their own wine and grappa (both VERY good), and the all you can drink is really that. We were about 30 people, I think, and dogs are welcome.
It's about a 2 hour drive from Munich through t he Brenner, in Südtirol, and there are plenty of hiking possibilities in the area.
Extremely friendly owners.
They only do groups (unfortunately-- my wife & I would love to go back there on our own).
