A major retrospective of the 2007 'Hannah-Höck Preis des Landes Berlin' prizewinning artist Harald Metzkes is currently taking place on the 4th floor of the Ephraim Palais. The exhibition contains 60 works spanning the period 1949-2006 gives a good overview of the work of the artist. The retrospective contains depictions of Berlin during the DDR, notably views onto Kollwitzplatz from the artists studio alongside more formal themes such as the Brandenburg Tor.
