Just a quick warning to anyone in Meerbusch who has a dog. The tennis club at the Eisenbrand has put down rat poison in the area which is also commonly used by dog walkers, and two dogs (including our next door neighbours') have died of poisoning this week as a result. Also a number of dead hedgehogs have been found in the area.

If you have a dog, avoid the Eisenbrand for now.

Oh... and if you're a member of the tennis club, phone the Vorstand and use as many swear words as you know in German!
