Guten Tag..to all who read!
I've PM'd a few people...and the replies were helpful but the options were pretty bleak.
the situation goes like this: Medical graduate from russia ( graduate of the english medium...so naturally everything was learnt in the english language)...has to find a job in Deutschland due to fiancee. Well..fresh medical graduate to be exact...so a residency has to be done. Another catch is that...I'm not an EU national...to be a little specific...after the intended marriage..we plan on residing in germany. So probably around the coming autumn. Of course, first i'd need a PR and all that. We've been planning this for a year now..and we've contacted quite a few people. Düsseldorf supposedly they are the ones in charge of foreign medical graduates seeking a job in germany says that ive 2 options :
Option 1 : do an exam (but the details of that exam will not be revealed and contacting a few medical graduates who've been in a similiar situation..they said..dont waste your time on that exam...they'd fail you...and you'd be royally screwed)
Option 2: do an evaluation exam so that they'll decide, which university i'll attend and what year. In other words, I'd be considering my degree as garbage and maybe entering a German university into 4 or 5th year medicine.
In either case...the scenario sucks...and doesnt seem like i want to take either of those 2 options. Of course being forced..i'd rather do the first...
My question is...has anyone been in a similiar situation? are there any non EU medical graduates who know the procedure for a residency in Germany??
Does anybody have any idea at all...what other options I have?? Right now...we're at wits end...and as both of us are students...we're tight on cash!
If I can get a job as an assistant doctor...without doing any of the above 2 options...does anybody have any idea...what else I can do with this M.D in Germany??
oookay..I'm new to this thing...any help and advice would be appreciated!
cheers
