Meet up for tentative 20-somethings

This meet up is open to all English-speakers in Munich aged between 20 and 30 years. Newcomers to the group are always welcome. Join us for drinks, chat, a laugh, and meeting new people.

The date is fixed, as given in the title above. The venue will be decided by vote below.

To join the event, simply post your username and preferred venue. The way it works is that you copy the list of names from the last post in the thread, paste that into your post, and then add your own name and venue vote to the bottom.

You can change your attendance or vote by re-coping and pasting at anytime before Wednesday at 6am. So if you see where democracy is taking the group and don't like it, feel free to change your vote. Hell, group together and form a block to change it to something else. Once the group has decided though, there's no going back. Also, only vote for a venue if you actually plan on showing up. On Wednesday morning, I'll look at the votes, ignore them, and post the executive decision.

As a confident 30-something, what exactly is a "tentative 20-something"? Are you all shy or something? Afraid to go out? What exactly are you tentative about?

Yeah Christmas shopping sounds good. An aunt has her silver anniversary in 2010...could pick something up for her as well

Negroni was great. Only six of us attended last time, but if we book out the bar, its a great place to hang out. Maybe next week.

Won't be drinking either - put myself on detox period after carneval...my liver will be grateful

In my case, quite clearly overdid it in the last, errrrr, well, for a while and the weekend of carneval in Cologne probably brought my liver to the point near collapse...so I'll at least try to not drink for a bit...

can't speak for everyone else, but i'm sober because I am a lush. And everyone laughed at me when I said I'd give up alcohol for lent.
Besides, now I have too many bets out there with people and honestly, I refuse to throw a party for people because I drank before Easter.

So what's the plan for tonight? Has a venue been decided?

This would be my first meet so I'm going to need a link or address for the location.

Not sure if I'll make it out, but the cocktails there are absolutely fantastic, so there's a pretty good chance.

However, Negroni isn't that big and it was pretty full last time we were there. We were able to get a small table (which worked fine for the six of us), but I don't know that we would be able to drop our usual 20+ people on them with no notice. Someone should probably call ahead.

No one home. No email address either. Voice mail said they are available from 5pm on. Will try again then. I'll try to get a reservation for 20.

Hmmm... you might want to check how they feel about minimum bills, etc. With so many people not drinking that might cause a problem. Perhaps make a reservation for 15, other people can stand and mingle... plus everyone might not be there all at once.
