can't speak for everyone else, but i'm sober because I am a lush. And everyone laughed at me when I said I'd give up alcohol for lent.

hahaha laugh and laughing so hard to the point where you're puking are two different things.

no way a sororiety girl is pulling that off. if you do, I'll stop hitting Rod*

*albeit for all of 30 seconds, but still...
Rumplefeik
I'm scottish, I'll drink for two.

And sorority girls can do anything they put their minds to. smile.gif
dazednconfused
Right, finally got someone on the phone. Table to the left on entrance is ours. Booked on Toytown, 8pm on, doesn't really seat 15 though. At least they are prepared now.
maskerade
I shall be popping along at some point too for a swift radler or two.
haidhausenguy
its probably too late now, but should've reserved the bar (which you can do) last time we were there a bunch of deloitte kids had the bar out, and looked cool enough to hang out at.

Maybe he was confusing "sorority" and "sobriety". If so, it's probably the first time anyone's ever made that mistake! wink.gif

Strange name - pigs in blanket/ what does this mean??
thefirelane
Hey all,
So what is your review of the place last night? I left a little early, but I will withhold my review until others comment.
Rumplefeik
Fuck! Three 'Scorpion's and I can't function today. Nice place, good craic.
ThePigsInBlankets
I had a good time. You left quite early indeed, Lane. What was that all about?

My thoughts on the place: I only had one cocktail and it was good, but on the whole I'm not much of a cocktail guy. Call me an uncultured troglodyte if you will (oh, please do!), but I always am a bit annoyed when a cocktail bar clearly goes out of its way to offer the shortest, most boring beer list possible. Granted, it's not like you get much variety in Germany in general, but is it really so hard to have something beyond just Pils on offer (and Krombacher at that)?

Other thoughts:
--While the bartender was very friendly, one of our waitresses with every drink order reacted to me like I had proposed something much more indecent than the delivery of a beverage.
--The service was a bit on the slow side.
--I liked the jazz they had playing. But that's 'cause I'm weird and I like jazz.
--The look I got from people at tables when asking if I could take an empty chair seemd as though they were thinking, "for shame!"

That atmosphere was nice enough and it wasn't too crowded, but personally outside of another TT event I'm not sure it alone justifies a trek to the other side of the river.

Hey smile.gif ! We moved to Munich 4 weeks ago and have only just found this site!! Bummer we missed the meetup last night, is it a regular thing or have you got any more planned? Jayne & Jenny
thefirelane
Welcome. We meet weekly, and depending on how many love-birds are in the group, we'll probably have another meet-up next week on the 14th.

Also, FYI... it's generally discouraged to have two people using one account. Nothing wrong with it of course, many people just like having a single person behind the name.
liutaia
It was okay, but I have to say I prefer most of the other places we've been over the last couple of months. (probable because I have no sense of direction and have gotten lost both times I've gone now). On the other hand, it's more interesting when there are more than half a dozen of us ohmy.gif
nokareyes
I vote for canceling next week because of V-Day
kirkan
Hi all, thanks for a fun night.

Rumplefeik covered the bill for unpaid drinks left at the end of the night.

5 x Beer 2.90€ each
1 x Seven Up 2.60€
1 x Apfelschorle 2.80€
thefirelane
Hey all, That's one problem with getting a table. Since people come and go in our group its kind of tough to keep a table tab. Be sure to just pay when you get your drink in order to avoid problems like this.

be sure to PM Rumplefeik if you even suspect you might have forgotten a drink (they are strong from what I hear, so it's easy to do wink.gif ). It really sucks being the one stuck at the end.

edit: also many thanks to kirkan, for bringing this to light for Rumple

Hey, guys,

got a terrible shortage of the very usual going out last time...

Would I be kicked out if I'm not a NATIVE English-speaker?..
