Hi, new member and my first post so please forgive any lack of forum etiquette on my part. I'll get the hang of it sooner or later. Wish I could say the same for my spoken German! If this subject has already been covered I apologise. I would like to get hooked up to SKY satellite TV to catch some of the UK programmes. Does anyone have some tips or advice on who to contact and how to go about plugging in to planet Sky? Many thanks.
I'm an American who's leaving
Germany soon, and I have a Sky Digibox and satellite dish for sale right now. You need these two items and a SkyCard subscription to view Sky programming from the UK. There are several companies on the internet that you can get the card/subscription from - here's one of them: storesatellite.com
The card inserts into a slot in the Sky Digibox, and the company from which you get the card/subscription from will then 'marry' it to the Digibox. Then you'll be all set. As far as I know, if you're living in Germany, you have to own the Digibox outright. I can sell you mine (used, but not very) for about half of what you'll have to pay for a new one. I have a sat. dish for sale, too, which you'll also need. I see you're in
Niedersachsen - so am I, in Osnabrück. Let me know if you're interested.
