Paintball game in Stuttgart-Stammheim

OK, here it is

Whoever wants to play paintball in the greater Stuttgart area should chime in here and also please email me at qahawa at gmail dot com

When: Either Feb 9/10 or 16/17
How much: about 50 bucks

There's both outdoor and indoor fields. The approximate price includes renting and buying all you need. If you have your own stuff itll be cheaper.

From Stuttgart Hbf
Take S-bahn to Zuffenhausen
Take Bus 508 Richtung Ludwigsburg and get off at "Pflugfelder Strasse"
Walk 15 minutes (1km) to the place (Emerholzweg 73 / 70439 Stuttgart)

If anyone has a car, you could offer to take multiple ppl from somewhere (like Hbf) as this place will take a good 40min to get to from downtown Stuttgart.

I'll try to round up other expats and a few Krauts I know. Everyone should do the same. A large group means a group discount!

i'm game...if its on the 9th i cant make it till after eleven

I won't be in Stuttgart on 9/10 so I hope we do it on 16/17.

It doesn't make a difference to me. I contacted another friend here who says this or next Sunday is best for him.

Game on! Will there be any meetups (like coffee or beer or something) before we actually gun each other?

Draide: There can be. There seems to be a place to eat/drink at the field

FYI: Just talked to the ppl there. It's actually owned by an American from N Dakota so expats are especially welcome.

The outdoor field is closed in winter so we'll have to play indoors. Cost breaks down as follows:

Gear Rental (Mask, Gun, Hopper, 500 balls): 29 EUR

Field Fee: 6 EUR/1 hour OR 19 EUR for 4 hours

Additional Balls will probably be necessary but t he more ppl come, we can buy a l;arger amount for a better deal.

We have a problem.

Some people have canceled and most importantly, the friend of mine with a car canceled. Bus 508 which gets us closest to the Paintballhalle doesn't run on Saturday OR Sunday.

The only other way is to take the U5 to Hohensteinstraße and then switch to the U15E (Ersatzbus) which will take you to "Stammheim" from where you'll have to walk about a mile NW.

Another friend of mine just canceled and I talked to Draide yesterday who also couldnt make it. It seems that nobody will show up w/ perhaps the exception of Serino78 who I haven't heard from by phone.

Next time we'll have everyone put down a deposit (which is actually recommended by the place to reserve rental gear)

Sucks that it didnt work out but I'll start a new thread soon and we can vote on the best time.
