Has anyone done this? It looks like it would be quite cool, but it's a bit expensive at 20 euros per person.

Since Munich finds small ways to enjoy adventure sports with surfing the Eisbach and now climbing the Olympiapark tents, I was curious if anyone has done this.
I'm thinking about surprising my husband with the tent tour.

It's a 2 hour guided tour that runs daily at 2:30pm from 15.th March - 31st. October 2008 - and tickets cost 35 euros. They supply the ropes and karabiners and no climbing experience is necessary. The tour spans the stadium from above. Tours go with light rain and obviously sun.

For families it says the minimum age is 10. You can also take a camera if it has a shoulder strap and can be attached to your safety harness.

They ask that you make a reservation (Visitors' Service Tel. +49 (0)89 3067-2414)

I'd love to hear people's experiences.

If you organize this for a weekend I would love to join you. I wanted to take the tour five years ago for my birthday but everyone chickened out.

I did it recently as part of a stag. Was good fun if quite expensive. You basically walk round the rim and at one point you can go right up to the top of one of the peaks and jump up and down making the roof shake (they said we could do this... ;-) ). Along the way the guides tell you quite a lot about the construction, the Olympics and various points of interest that can be seen from up there. On the day we did it the Alps were not visible but if they were, it would be amazing and very much worth it.
