How did you guys get on with the Hoffmeister?

My source tells me they won again. I didn't go due to illness, but my girlfriend and her colleagues formed their own team: AND LOST. That'll teach 'em.

The special round next week, I believe, is Gilmore Girls. Unfortunately I won't be there to astound you with my wealth of Gilmore Girls knowledge. Will probably be back the week after.

We managed 9 points on the Hasselhoff round.

I'm not sure about that. If he means independant state in the sense of nation. In this case, maybe we are actually talking about Cyprus. I mean Cyprus is clearly not part of Greece and not eligible.

Talking about states as subdivisons of a country, I would say that there isn’t a Greek equivalent of a state that contains all the greek islands. Rhodos is an Agean island and Corfu, Kefalonia, etc. are Ionian. That said, I don’t know exactly how the “state� boundaries go.

For me Crete is an Island, part of Greece and very large, so is a better answer. In any case we were 8 or 9 points behind 1st place so it does not matter at all.

Hi there! Our get-togethers are not limited by age (or gender)... when the quiz is on we tend to meet in Murphy's law most Tuesdays, the (continental) European football championships will be conflicting with this for the next three weeks so we will probably venture to a beer garden or two in MA or HD instead!
