Just passed by on the way to
Kindergarten. Ganghoferstrasse is blocked off. Loads of police and emergency services on the scene. Spoke to other rubbernecks at the scene who said a man shot his wife and then himself. They tried to revive the woman but she's since died.

Both dead, child injured. Motive said to be jealousy. He was 45, she was 24, the daughter 6. Sounds like it may have been an arranged marriage but that is just me speculating.
I can't stand the way Germans call this kind of murder a "Familiendrama". It's murder, not a drama.

Most of the murders where I came from involved bar fights... Dad wiping out a whole family because he couldn't handle rejection was pretty darn rare compared to here.

Munich PoliceQUOTE

So the short of it is, the man waited for the woman and kid and shot them both, then shot himself. He died and so did the wife, and the girl was also shot but was operated on and is not dead. The man in question is the uncle of the ex husband of the women.

The deed of a totally warped brain. Does he expect his niece to be completely promiscuous and shag him just because she left her husband and found someone else? Argh!
I hope the girl pulls through, a shot to the thorax is not pleasant. And: What does the husband make of all this?
@ Genie - I don't think so. The uncle didn't shoot the woman because she left her husband, he shot her because she shunned him. Jerk crime.

It turns out that the woman and her murderer had indeed had a relationship before she moved to Munich. She said it was over, left, found someone else, planned to marry him, and her ex-uncle couldn't bear it. Wimp. Kill yourself if life is too hard to take, pampered self-centered man*. Still not an honor killing. Wimp killing.
