Residence registration offices in Düsseldorf

Hi Everyone,

Was wondering if some could give me some info.
i need a melde beschinigung to renew my passport. where can i get this done in Düsseldorf and what do i need? how long does it take?

This doesn't add up - your profile states that you are German & you are asking us non-Germans where to get a Meldebescheinigung? Assuming its a GERMAN passport - same place.

i'm german.. but didn't grow up in germany.. so i dont speak much german
so i melde myself in the same place where i apply for a new passport?

First things first - if you are living here you have registered right? Thats the first step.

At least when my son (hes British / German 50:50 mix) applied for German passport it was at the local Rathaus (Anmeldeamt).
reason we went for a German passport was that it costs far less than a UK one
