I'm heading to Dublin soon for a girlie weekend (uni friends - last time we were there together was 1990!!). As I haven't been to Dublin myself for a good 8yrs or so I was wondering if there are any "new" sights, exhibitions, sites of interest nearby that we should check out? Any recommendations welcome smile.gif Any particular tips for good eateries in the city centre? Heard there are trams running in the city now...I love riding on the trams here so am interested to use them in Dublin too.

After 8 years you may just be in for a shock at the changes! I actually don't know what to recommend in terms of sights and places to eat, its difficult to know where to start. Maybe just get your walking shoes on and hit the streets, wander around and see what you think of everything in the city centre. If you are driving then the road network is certainly very different to 8 years ago, from the moment you leave the airport.

you might want to apply for a bank overdraft now - you won´t believe how pricey dublin has gotten in the last 8 years.

if memory serves the tram (lewis) serves dublin west, not sure if that helps you with where you are staying.

Cafe en Seine on Dawson street (you might need to check that) is always good for a meeting place as it´s very central. It all depends on what you´d like to do - check this site out for some inspiration:

Surely you mean the Luas, LFF?
Samsara next door to Café en Seine is great too. Less changes to bump into the latest boyband though but great atmosphere.
