Meet up for irresolute 20-somethings

This meet up is open to all English-speakers in Munich aged between 20 and 30 years. Newcomers to the group are always welcome. Join us for drinks, chat, a laugh, and meeting new people.

The date is fixed, as given in the title above. The venue will be decided by vote below.

To join the event, simply post your username and preferred venue. The way it works is that you copy the list of names from the last post in the thread, paste that into your post, and then add your own name and venue vote to the bottom.

You can change your attendance or vote by re-coping and pasting at anytime before Wednesday at 6am. So if you see where democracy is taking the group and don't like it, feel free to change your vote. Hell, group together and form a block to change it to something else. Once the group has decided though, there's no going back. Also, only vote for a venue if you actually plan on showing up. On Wednesday morning, I'll look at the votes, ignore them, and post the executive decision.

It appears the masses have spoken. We'll be meeting this thursday, 8pm, at Croccodrillo bar. I'm a little nervous, as the TT page describes it as "a tiny little bar". But on the plus side I'm really lazy and its really close to my place.

What time do you guys usually start?
I.e. what's the earliest people arrive? Judging by the work load on my desk there'll be shit loads left for tomorrow so I reckon I'll get there straight from work...will there be anyone around 7ish already?

"official" start time is 8pm. Starting early and staying late is encouraged.

Make sure that the downstairs Croc bar is actually open the day you want to go. Sometimes they just rope it off and have the upstairs part of Cafe Florian open. Just a hint..

Hmmm I dunno...The roommate invited me to go along with her friends to some fancy bar/dance type place for Thursday, but since she apparently forgot to include me on the reservation (always an ego boost ) and there's an entrance fee, I'm waffling on the idea. Plus I've got to start showing up to these things more often, as the long gaps are hardly conducive to remembering names!

I'll talk to the roomie tonight and see if she can actually convince me to still go tomorrow. If so, I'll try to make it next week/this weekend*. If not, I'll see yous all there.

* Yes, for the first time in what seems like ages, I'm actually in town this weekend!

I still say K&K Klub is suitable for you lot.

Officially they open at 8pm. Although doors are usually open before that. It's empty for the first hour. So the only people there would be TT'ers. Making it easy to find the group, easy to talk. Then it gets lively later, making it more fun. Grab the corner on the right by the bar.

Failing that, Cubar in the Westend, Josef in the Glockenbach, or Reizbar in Schwabing.

Reizbar's a little too small for this lot, though.

Ridiculously convenient for me as it's less than a 5 minute stagger to my apartment.

Had the without-a-doubt worst sick-due-to-too-much-booze night of my life at Josefbar over a year ago. Used to go there pretty often, but haven't been back since (nothing against the bar, just mental stigma on my part).

Having Editor Bob show up in this thread is like some fabulous celebrity showing up at a random frat party, leaving everyone starstruck, haha.

I'd recommend commandeering the spot shown in the plan below. It's not necessarily any better than any other spot, but it's close to the bar (handy for when it gets full later) there are standing stools at the bar (good for mingling) and there are benches in the box. From this spot you can't see the hentai projections, but no great loss.
