Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if there is an Englisch Translation of the Arbeitsgesetz, and if so where I can order it from? Any advice would be greatly appreciated... ;-)

I dont think there is something like a Arbeitsgesetz. There is a dozen of different laws that regulate all kinds of labour related stuff.

As you can see here: Arbeitsrecht - Wikipedia.

The ILO has some more information in english and some links.

Thanks for the links, I already have the German Version of the ArbG which you cna find here, http://www.amazon.de/Arbeitsgesetze/dp/342...5683&sr=8-1 so I know there is one available. Hopefully someone could point me in the direction of a translated copy, if there is one. Thanks for the links however there are useful as well.

Do you want EVERYTHING in translation or are you seeking specific information ? Of so, it would probably be more constructive to describe exactly what you're looking for.

The book "Arbeitsgesetze" you mention is just a compilation of all the different labour laws, done by Beck publishing house. (I have to admit the use of the abbreviation ArbG is misleading.) I would be surprised if they had translated them all (or any or them). Some of the laws might be found here in english. But there is no guarantee this are the latest versions.

Even the website you lined to warns that the translations are of no guaranteed quality. As German workers law tends to change quite a lot I would steer clear of translations and just try and find an english speaker specialist lawyer.

Richard, what excatly do you need to know?
