Fackelwanderung - night walk with flaming torches

This is an easy mountain walk with flaming torches. We meet in Munich in the afternoon and drive to the Alps where we do a 1,5 hour walk to a rustic mountain hut (with restaurent service). There we stay until it is quite dark, and you have had enough to eat and too much to drink, then I give everyone a flaming torch and we walk down again in the snow by torchlight. We arrive back in Munich by 8.30pm.

Please wear suitable clothes for a winter mountain hike.

Deposit €2. To avoid the misunderstandings of the past third party reservations will not be accepted (except in the case of a spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend).

Been wanting to do this walk for years and am now finally signed up. Not really sure what to expect but it should be very atmospheric, walking down the mountain with flaming torches. Looking forward to it

Some people have phoned to ask whether we will be walking up the mountain in the dark. Apparently the title is misleading. We will be walking up the mountain in broad daylight and then have a meal in the hut until it is dark and then come down again.

I did this a while ago with Richard, and its a great evening, especially if there's adequete snow cover which sohuldn't be a problem right now?

Is there still a place free. How do I sign up/pay the deposit?

I will be taking sign-ups and deposits tonight at the Toytown beer garden event is to be held inside today.
