GNO: Girls Night Out - Saturday 6.Nov.2004

Right girls and ladies,

it is time for another girls night out. But so many things are planned in TT that the earliest date I could find without clashing another event is November 6th.
Right, the plan is to meet up at 8pm in Vecchia Masseria for lovely food, devoted Italian waiters and lovely red or white wine and then taking the S-Bahn straight to Nachtgalerie.

I know Nachgalerie is not everyone's favourite but we will all get in and drinks are reasonable prized and we always had great fun.

Vecchia Masseria is always packed so I would need to make a reservation.

That's one of my fav restaurants in Munich...MMMMmmmmm. I love Italian food!!

@ sk8rgrl La Vecchia is Mathildenstr 3 at Sendlinger Tor U Bahn . It's the street running parallel behind Sonnenstr. Walk down Sonnenstr towards Karlsplatz and then take the first left...it's like a smallish alley with a hotel on it, from there Mathildenstr is the first right...can't miss it!

although I'm sure certain Dutch people would tell you I'm not qualified to give directions

@nilp - Just because they can give directions in 3 or more languages doesn't mean you should take any crap whatsoever from the Dutch!!

Right, just wanted to make a reservation for the group as I thought it might get diffiuclt on short notice. Then I was told that they only take big group reservations when we choose a menue beforehand.
The food is really good there and I never made any bad experience.
So please choose what u want.

Menu VII: mixes antipasti, 2 different sorts of Pasta, mixed deserts
Menu VIII: Vitello Tonnato, 2 different sorts of Pasta, salmon in potato crust and vegetables or "Perlhuhn Brust" with green pepper sauce and vegetables
Menu IX: Beef carpaccio with Rucola and parmesan, 2 different sorts of Pasta, grilled "Goldbrasse" with Salad or turkey medaillon with Spinache and Mozzarella
Menu X: Marinated Salmon on Salad of the season, 2 different sorts of Pasta, Pike with vegetable sauce
Menu XI: Mixed Antipasti, 2 different sorts of Pasta, salmon trout in potato coat and salad or lamb knuckle with lentils and balsamico, mixed fruit with Mascorpone
Menu XII: Aperitif of the day, mixed antipasti, 2 different sorts of Pasta, salmon in potato crust and vegetables or lamb kotelett with herbs and vegtetables, Pannacotta mit mixed berries

Wether fish or meat can be decided on the night in all menues.

I am really sorry for the mess, i thought it would be much easier.

I dont care as long it is under 20,99€
I dont care as long it is under 21,99
I dont care unless it is under 28,99€

I mean I'm not trying to be cheap or anything but anything over 15.99 is a bit much. When you add in drinks with it you'll be paying close to 30 just for one meal. Then of course we will be going out after that so add in those drinks. One very expensive night! Still not sure if I'll be in town then.

Not that the GNO is any of my business but... are you sure everyone has to choose the SAME menu? It sounds a bit strange, perhaps they just want each person to choose their own menu beforehand, but everyone can choose something different. And yeah those prices are steep.

i voted for IX...took me a while tho, it all sounds so delicious!
is probably best that it's decided on beforehand, in my case I especially cos I'll waste half the night trying to decide what i want to eat, am so damned indecisive!

so, decision made: menu IX...hmm, but the salmon in potato crust sounds temting...or the lamb cutlet...or panacetta...GAH!!!

Just wanted to point out the options. I am sure if somebody wants to have something additional they will going to make that happen. You can't go wrong with Pasta, can you? But then again, we are on our night out and should get spoilt that night. and you get a lot for 3€ more. Anyway, let's see how people decide.

Okay gilrs, i will convince them somehow to provide two menues for us so we can choose between menue VII and IX.

I am sorry to make this this so unspontenous but I would need to make the reservation. If it is not that many girls we don't need to have the menue chosen beforehand. This only applies to big groups and reservations in November and december.

As said before, the food is delicious, no matter what you eat and the ones who have been there before know that it is not expensive and what you get for ur price is excellent! And the waiters will love us!
Please let me know by Monday if you intend to come so I can see how many are about to come.

after having hours of discussion I want to point out the difference between a rooster and a chicken, so nobody will enter the wrong bathroom. as the signs for the toilets in Vecchia Masseria display a chicken for the ladies and a rooster for the guys.

The owner apologized that the waiters have to work but he is very much looking forward to serve us girls. He didn't want to know what menu we have chosen as the group is just small enough.
