Playing cricket or ultimate frisbee in Berlin

Info on local teams, and any players here?

Hi all,

I've recently moved to Berlin and am looking for some (mixed) team sports to play in the summer. I see there are a couple of cricket teams here, but does anyone know what they're like? For example, would they be ok with a girl on their team? And the ultimate frisbee situation looks completely random. Suggestions are more than welcome.

Put paintballing and sychronised swimming into the mix and I would pay to see a game, regardless of what it is called.

Have a look at this Web site if you are interested in Ultimate. The teams I have practiced/trained with have been very nice.

well, an australian friend of mine mentioned the other day that a couple of chaps from the restaurant Que Pasa meet up and play a game of cricket. In case you wanna have a look, I think you can find the restaurant beside the Gorlitzer Bahnof S-bahn stop. Cheers

There is a well established cricket league in Berlin, been going for around 10 years now. Most teams are Pakistani and Indian and are very serious about the sport. However there is Berlin CC who have a social 20/20 side usually in the summer months apart from a serious and competetive 1st and 2nd team. They train in the winter in a Sports Hall not 5 mins from Storkower Str. S-Bahn. In the summer they train on the Berlin Cricket pitch in the Olympiastadion complex. The guys are a laugh and welcome new members.

Or if you wish theres a team called Britannia, they also train on the Olympiastadion complex in the summer months, and train
in the Winter evenings, every Monday, at a sports halle near U bahn Berliner Straße..(prinzrregentenstrasse). chances of playing are a plus, as its a small club,(and happen to be 2nd League Champions) and not as big as BCC...
