Munich Girls' Night Out (GNO)

It's been awhile since we've had a GNO and I'd say it's high time to have another! If anyone's interested, I'll be happy to organize. A few of us had discussed hitting the Escobar in Haidhausen, mostly due to the fact that they have lovely jumbo cocktails. But the venue is not necessarily set in stone. We've talked about setting it for Friday, February 1st- which I realize is right before Fasching- but it's also payday for me a lot of people.

I, for one, am so delighted to have survived the holidays, that I'm ready to meet up with some of TT's finest ladies and go get blattered. If it sounds like something for you, voice your interest here.

Cocktails are good for you- something about anti-oxidants or something. Anyway, the food there is alright too. Come on, you know you want to.

Lots of good stuff in cocktails madgibson! Enzymes in the pineappleslices good for metabolism, the orange and lemon slices have Vit C... I could go on.

Yeah, right and what about all the sugar, coconut cream etc etc? You're not kidding anyone, least of all me Think I'll have to take up full time residence at the gym soon...I've had 8 cocktails already this week and counting! Escobar is damn good though...

I have never joined, well, anything that TT has on offer but I'd like to and this sounds like something I could convince myself to go to...cocktails and good company. Will keep watching this space for further info!

I think I'll try to make it in for 6:30-ish as well. Happy hour starts at 5... hmm. I might go over straight from work so I might even get there by 6. Not sure yet though.

I would really like to make this, but I can't say for sure at the moment. That may be the only night next week I can see my boyfriend before he goes out of town for a while... Can you put me down as a definite maybe?

Edit: Note of warning - I am a serious lightweight when it comes to cocktails, but it appears I will be in the presence of pros, so you'll look after me, won't you?

if you are a light weight, then order the regular size not the jumbos, don't try to keep up with FallenAngel and myself, and ask for a glass of leitungs wasser with every cocktail.
Escobar also has free snacks (chips and sauces) for the bar patrons til about 8pm.

Still hoping to get to this but will need to confirm next week, if that's ok?

Just wondering, are we supposed to make a BNO as well for this same evening so that you gals have a party to crash once you're well and truly ratted to the point that TT men actually start looking kinda interesting?

It depends largely on how many of the girls attending are interested in impairing their judgement so badly through drink that they're interested in potentially hooking up with a fellow TTer. I, for one, do not wish to stand in the way of anyone's chance at getting laid, so if the boys choose to organize their own night out on the same night, then I will respect and support that decision.

I'll call Escobar today to make a preliminary reservation for 10-15. In my experience, the number tends to fluctuate towards the day of the event- people dropping out and other just deciding last minute to come along. That's no problem really- as long as I have a general idea how many will be there. And if there's more than we've reserved for it's also not a problem because those tall tables are right next to the bar and there's plenty of room to squeeze in extra people.

As for my ETA- I've decided to aim for 6. I could get there earlier, but I tend to drink quickly...

Sound advice there, Carm.
It's really helpful not to drink on an empty stomach. So be sure to order some food or have something before you get there. Also, choose your footwear wisely (no heels). I made that mistake last night. Too many drinks in combination with my ultra sexy 4-inch heels caused an ultra unsexy tumble that landed me flat on my ass.

Edit: To be fair though, I can hardly walk in those heels when I'm sober, so it was no wonder really that I fell.

Just wondering, are you gals expecting one of us guys to hastily prepare a BNO that evening which you can drunkenly crash around 11:30 in order to tell us what shitheels we are before snogging us senseless, taking us home with you and then confessing to each other the next day in the women's forum?
