Hoo boy, this is a painful one.

I remember the bottle of vodka which I emptied before leaving the house. I even remember "dinner" on the way to the event (sausage inna bun). What I don't understand is why I kept drinking as if booze was about to be outlawed, but power-drink I most certainly did, to painful excess.

I don't remember putting anything other than liquor in my mouth but based on how my throat felt on Saturday I'm pretty sure I demonstrated my "get the cherry off the other end of the stick" technique to one or more of you. I don't remember the döner on the way home either, though I figured it out on Saturday afternoon (along with the fact that I managed to get the guy who made it to add at least as much chili pepper as "meat").

I've been informed that a number of you found my antics amusing. Small comfort. I know that I wasn't chaperoned continually throughout the evening and that tells me I was behaving rather inappropriately. If such inappropriate behaviour occurred when you were in my vicinity fu... I mean, sorry. I really don't know what got into me. That's not true; I know what got into me and even have some idea about how much. I just don't know the why.

I'm sure I owe a number of you an apology but for the life of me I don't remember why and I'd prefer to keep it this way. Nevertheless, I do apologise for whatever it was that I did or said unless it was a continuance of some on-line argument (yes I mean you, belgianpraline who I'm pretty sure I met -- you have dark hair past the shoulder, right?), in which case I'm sure I was correct and you were painfully mistaken.

If we met for the first time on Friday, we didn't actually meet. I have only a few faint of recollections and none of them terribly clear. For this I am thankful; ignorance truly is bliss.

On a positive note, those who were there bore witness to the last time in my life I'll ever be that drunk outside my flat.

The one they showed me was a kind of floaty, see-through, leopard print thing. Does that sound like yours? Or if any other lady left in a sorry state minus such an item of clothing, let me know. I pass by that way quite frequently, so I can drop in and pick it up for you.

I think I lost my self-respect GT. Can you see if they have it behind the bar at Escobar when you are picking up the blouse. I know I brought it with me but by the time I got to Carmen's lounge it was nowhere to be seen.

OK, I've retrieved BelgianPraline's blouse from Escobar. I didn't inquire about any items of lingerie.

BTC: They did find some shattered fragments of self-respect, as well as various shreds of dignity, when they swept under the tables at the end of the night, but since the fragments clearly belonged to quite a lot of different people and would have been impossible to piece together again, they just threw the lot in the recycling bin.

I reckon Bad Doggie ate my blouse! Unless he needs it to wave at the demo on Saturday.
