Football kick-about on Saturday afternoon - Berlin

Let's have a show of hands - all those interested in an old-fashioned kick about on Saturday afternoon say "aye". If enough people sign up, I'll try and book a proper pitch. Otherwise it'll be jumpers for goalposts in one of Berlin's parks.

That'll be Saturday 19 Jan. Bear with me - I'm not used to organising things.

Hi Everyone, not sure if you can help but we are an over 35s football team who are due to visit Berlin on the weekend of may 9th 2008. Would there be anyone out there who would be willing to arrange a game, hopefully for the Friday night but this is flexible. We are not a fantastic standard but tour once a year and then make a weekend of it. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Unfortunately it doesn't look like football is going to happen this weekend- not enough people and the weather forecast is pretty shitty anyway. Hopefull we'll manage it another time. I'll keep you posted.

As for the rest of you... (shake head).

New to the city and looking for a group to play football with. If this saturday afternoon kickaround gets going again, let me know and I'd be in it for sure. Also, if anybody is aware of any different leagues or other pickup, please fill me in on that as well.

Count me in too Kurtis. I even brought my lovely Predators with me just in case there was a bit of a kick around sometime. Not this Saturday though as I'm off to the Hertha game against Frankfurt.

Only here since Monday so it'll be the first game I'll be attending. Should be fun.

Have any of you boys looked at signing up for the ex-pat team, British Lions? They play every Saturday in a proper league and have training on Tuesday nights. Although they have 'British' in their name, anyone can sign up. Info can be found here
