"Aufenthaltstitel" change for a Canadian citizen

After about 3 years in Germany, my Aufenthaltstitel was recently changed from:

Unselbständige Beschäftigung nur gestattet als (position title) bei Firma X im Bezirk der Arbeitsagebtur München bis 03.10.08. Selbständige Tätigkeit nicht gestatet.

to:

Unselbständige Beschäftigung gestattet selbständige Beschäftigung nicht gestattet.

I am Canadian and have worked steadily since moving here. If I understand this correctly, I was previously allowed to work ONLY for one specific firm, and now I am allowed to work (or search for a new position) without any constraints. (The visa is valid until 31.12.09.)

I need clarification on this in order to explain my status to potential new employers.

Can anyone in a similar situation confirm this for me?

It means you can be employed by anybody but you cannot be self-employed.

you can get that claused removed so you can work freelance.
