Munich Caribes Baseball Club

If you are interested in playing baseball in Munich, take a look at the Munich Caribes Baseball Club.

We offer baseball for every age and skill level, as well as softball for all ages of women. There is also a very active Parent network, which gets involved with social activities and watching games.

The games run from about April to September, but all teams run optional practice year-round, including indoor practices during the winter.

The Caribes are extremely family-friends oriented and welcome every new member with open arms.

We have players that have played college-level baseball, all the way to players that have just started playing this year. All levels have real games against teams all over the Munich area and southern Germany. Also starting this year, is the Caribes BBQ Team, consisting of mostly middle-aged members, which plays purely for fun and ends each day with a BBQ for all.

The teams are very diverse, with members that are German, American, Latin American, European, and Asian.

This kids teams are especially interested in new members.

Its a great way for kids to meet new friends, and have a chance to learn or speak German and spanish.

I would be interested. I played high school ball (in Massachusetts), but unfortunately that was a lot of years ago now! In any case, if you could use a guy in his 30s with cobwebs in his throwing shoulder, let me know how to get involved.

The Caribes ( www.caribes.de Caribes de Munich) has a co-ed BBQ team - it's for those of us who want to be active but can't fully commit to a "real" team. We are a real team - but we all understand the busy lifestyles of modern day living ;-) We play slow pitch softball - no experience or equipment is required. We have gloves and having fun while keeping fit is what we're there for.

The Caribes have a lovely softball field and are invited to tournaments by other BBQ Teams throughout the playing season. The Caribes is a great club that caters to families. They have 2 mens teams, a ladies teams, a junior team, a youth team (co-ed), a team for school kids (co-ed) and a T-Ball team (co-ed)!

We practice on Friday evenings from 6 - 8pm at the Ballpark Oberwiesenfeld (U3), Straßbergerstraße.

Ooh, sounds like fun!

I guess that's tonight! I would love to come out. I checked google maps and only see soccer fields. I know google maps isn't always current, is this also where the ballfield is located? Looks like parking would be on Moosacher Str?

Yes this is also where the Ballpark is!

It's on Moosacher Str. at the corner of Straßbergerstrasse - there is free parking on Straßberger which is however a one way street that comes out onto Moosacher - you can get onto this street through the olympic village. Or there's a big P&R (park & ride) cost - 1EUR for the whole day...

The enterance to the field is right where the U-Bahn comes up (not at the soccer field's enterance).
