Someone mentioned ice-skating in this forum. Where can you go ice skating here? Are there out-door rinks? I'm always up for ice skating, if anyone wants to go...

There is an outdoor ice-rink and a brand-new ice-stadium at Ostragehege. It's called Freiberger Arena. Actually we want to go ice-skating on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. It costs 3.50 EUR for two hours. You can also rent skates there if you don't have your own.

Interested?

Looks like I checked this forum too late. I'd like to go the next time...

We were at the ice-rink yesterday, Saturday, and there were so many people, already on the ice and waiting in line to get in. So we decided to go "Eis essen" instead of "Eis laufen". And we want to try it again today, Sunday, from 4 to 6.

Sorry, I can't make it today. Hopefully it's not too full this time.

So what's the difference between eis essen and eis laufen? Is it at the same arena?

At one place you eat ice cream, at the ice you skate on ice wink.gif

Ha, I completely mis-read city-girl's last message. I thought she meant that they were going to skate at an event called "eis essen", of course I was totally confused... I figured "eis essen" might be when you fall on your face when you're skating.

We want to go ice-skating on Monday night, January 28, on the ice-rink at Freiberger Arena in Ostragehege. It's open from 7 to 9 and costs 3,50€. Let's meet at 7 at the entrance?

Where it is? If you come by public transport you can take the bus No. 75 from Postplatz (direction is Messe Dresden) and get of at Eissporthalle. If you come by car check out the map

Cool, I'll be there... Is this place walkable from Kongress-Zentrum or Bhf Mitte?

EDIT: No it's probably not. I hope I can make it there in time... If I'm not there by 7, I'll be late by 10 min... I can meet you guys inside.
