Dear All,

Having read your discussions on watching the six nations in Munich I was hoping you could give me some advice. A small band of us are coming over for the weekend of the Ireland v Scotland game for a stag weekend and as such some of us are looking for a good bar to sit and enjoy (well watch Scotland get beat) the rugby with some banter from the local Irish ex-pats. We are staying at the Holiday Inn in the city centre so any advice/suggestion would be appreciated.

Cheers
pootle
did someone utter the words super saturday? smile.gif
Duty Free

best bets in city centre are probably
Kilians
Ned Kellys

or there is also Molly Malones
Owain Glyndwr
Munder, the closest place to your hotel will be Molly Malones. Literally just stumbling distance. And there should be a good crowd there.

Ah, excellent. I was looking at the 6 nations site but hadn't noticed that the time column was labelled "Local Time".
bluedave
Can i just remind anyone coming down today for The France V England game that there will be about 19 million French in there so bring a gun make sure you get sat down well in advance or we will lose the seats.
Jeeves
Will 2:30 do? ohmy.gif
That way I avoid the Serbs too.

Havé fun chaps I would be there but, I have a date with a pool of my own vomit at Nockerberg! laugh.gif
bluedave
Was a long but good day only briefly spoilt by one Scots chap thinking he was Rocky.

The 40 farmers boys from Cavan were a definite bonus. laugh.gif
Duty Free
It's nearly Saturday...rugby time again!!! biggrin.gif
Owain Glyndwr
I shall be there for the Ireland v Wales match but then I have to go to the Starkbierfest at Augustinerkeller so i won't be able to see Scotland get demolished by England.
bluedave
Looking forward to the Wales v Ireland game, should be a cracker but i think Croke Park will have the influence req'd.
pootle
Wont be at the pub this weekend. Got visitors in town
bluedave
A few people PM ing me on this, safest way is to get there about 1 to 1.30 i would guess to ensure a seat. smile.gif
Jeeves

bluedave
Well, it's another super saturday and we get to see if it's the dragon or the cock that will be crowing by this evening.

Remember to take your seats as early as poss to avoid dissapointment, see you later. smile.gif
Jeeves
First kick-off is at 14:00 CET (not 15:00 as stated in the first post).
pootle
Will be down the pub, will check at ostbahnhof see if they'Ve got any daffs to decorate the tables with wink.gif
Owain Glyndwr
I have been watching Pootle's 2005 Grand Slam video all morning to get me in the mood. cool.gif
bluedave
I think i'll probably wear a red England shirt so i can pretend to be a Wales fan and enjoy some glory too. wink.gif
bluedave
Ty all for being there and not embarrassing me with lots of tables and me sat alone.

Was a good Championship and props to Wales although i thought the best game for rugby purists was today between England and Ireland.
