Ok, so it's that time of year again, although it does seem earlier this year, for England to get humiliated in the Northern Hemisphere's Premiere Event,
The 6 Nations Tournament.As per the Rugby World Cup, i will be booking tables at
Molly Malones for these games and would appreciate some kind of idea what interest there is before booking said bums on seat places.
Dunno if a signup sheet is really req'd but it would be useful if you could at least put down an idea of which dates you are likely to need use of a pew.
Fixtures and dates are as below:
Saturday 02.02.08
* 15:00 - Ireland v Italy (Croke Park)
* 17:30 - England v Wales (Twickenham)
Sunday 03.02.08
* 16:00 - Scotland v France (Murrayfield)
Saturday 09.02.08
* 15:00 - Wales v Scotland (Millennium Stadium)
* 18:00 - France v Ireland (Stade de France)
Sunday 10.02.08
* 16:30 - Italy v England (Stadio Flaminio)
Saturday 23.02.08
* 16:00 - Wales v Italy (Millennium Stadium)
* 18:00 - Ireland v Scotland (Croke Park)
* 22:00 - France v England (Stade de France)
Saturday 08.03.08
* 14:15 - Ireland v Wales (Croke Park)
* 16:15 - Scotland v England (Murrayfield)
Sunday 09.03.08
* 17:00 - France v Italy (Stade de France)
Saturday 15.03.08
* 15:00 - Italy v Scotland (Stadio Flaminio)
* 16:00 - England v Ireland (Twickenham)
* 18:00 - Wales v France (Millennium Stadium)
Here we go again then.

Usually book the seats next to the big screen so you don't have to wade through the crowds when you need to go to the loo and it's right next to the bar too.

Slightly ( very slightly ) off topic , anyone know if any pub is showing Leicester - Leinster followed by Munster - Wasps from 16.30 on Saturday ? Munster Wasps has the potential to be better than any 6 nations match , but unfortuantely clashes with football ( Newcastle - Bolton ) which often has precedence in many pubs , so thanks in advance for any infos !

Just seen that the London Irish game is on live from 14.30 too ...(thinks !! 6 hours live , rugby 2-3 pints an hour , great training for super saturday !! ))) any one else interested in a marathon sesh ... if there's going to be a pub showing the games ...

Incidently a kiwi told me that rugby in maori translates as Heavens Game ...

Hey lad, if any seats count me in. Thanks. If not I will have to watch in solitude in me own flat !!
Ireland will win when it dont really matter...a 6 nations is a poor cousin to a World Cup...

Awesome!
What time are you people turning up on Saturday?
Do they serve good food at Mollies?
If getting food is usually choatic at Mollies on a match day, then i'll grab a stinking smelly pizza before i leave home!

Jan 28 2008, 12:34 pm
The food is good and plenty of it, i can particularly reccomend the Shepherd's Pie as a good beer soaker upper.

Can't wait! Bring it on!!
If people know what times they will turn up please let us know. First game starts 3pm Germany time.
I dont know any TTers yet and i dont fancy turning up too early sat on my own, on one of five empty tables looking like Billy No Mates!
cheers guys.

Jan 28 2008, 1:15 pm
Why not? This is Germany not the UK, turning up to a pub and sitting on your own is not stigmatised. Take a newspaper if you're really worried. Or you could always do something revolutionary like order a beer to keep yourself occupied...

Call me crazy but shouldn't a true sports fan get as much enjoyment out of the game whether his team wins or loses? Either way, I have an out this weekend as the boyfriend is in China.
