Meet up for young people in Düsseldorf

Hi all, I'm a New Zealand Au Pair, have been working in Düsseldorf for 6 months. I was wondering if there was any other young people in Düsseldorf who'd like to meet up? I'll leave the classification of 'young' open to interpretation!

I think I could stretch to going as far as Düsseldorf

BTW, kiwi au-pair? wow! Didn´t know u guys travel so far to deal with children. Is it because of german?

To get to Düsseldorf by train is about a 25 minute train and they run every 20 minutes I believe. Should cost around the 10E mark. re. Kiwi au pair - I came to take a break from Uni, I'm loving it in Europe so much that I'm trying to extend my stay to 18 months now!

Since there are a few people interested in meeting, maybe we should organise a set date to meet? A weekend would be best, I think. When is everybody free?

If just an english speaker to go for beer with, I have nothing to do all my life. But... be aware! I am czech and mad! Mayb some1 else wants to join? No problem! I know great czech pub (LOTS of space) which just opened here in Düsseldorf and amazingly they have czech beer! But I am open to sugestions. I, of course, mentioned it mainly for me being czech and having it in our street (tralalalala)!

Hi all, I won't be able to make it, and I feel like an utter twat.
I've just got back from walking home in the snow for 30 mins. Why walking hom in the snow?
Well I've had a bad 24 hours.
My expensive boots are broken, I had 300 euro stolen, I have a 300 euro bill to pay and therefore can't go on holiday to France, I'm sick and my heart is broken.

So you should all meet up without me, once again I feel like a dick for doing this, but I am in no state to be making first impressions. Plus spreading the flu is not a good idea.

I've only just got on Toytown so looks like I missed out on your meet-up. Sounds like a lot of people missed it though so is anyone keen on organising another one in the next couple of weeks? Hey guys. Just spoke to Miranda, she is joing to France on the 22nd. I was planning on staying at her place (I live in stupid Paderborn), so I can't come The last train leaves at 10pm, so it isnt worth it, and I have a big trip coming up so can't afford a hotel. Unless we made it another weekend?
