2008 will be a turning point
1. I quit smoking
2. my husband will finish his MBA in March
3. Visiting home in April after 16 months
4. Moving the hell outta Germany as soon as job opens up!

No more desperate housewife syndrome

Not falling into this trap, i start off every year thinking it's gonna be a good one and end up being dissapointed.

THen start off being dissapointed and see what happens!

I've already managed that one gids !

2008 is going to be my year because:

1) I'm getting married to a wonderful German man.
2) We're getting married on a day with a Schnapszahl: 8/8/8.
3) We just signed a contract for a gorgeous apartment in an Altbau with 3 meter ceilings and wooden floors with a view of the Elbe and situated in the beautiful farmlands of Vierlande.
4) I'm meeting great people and making good friends in my German class at Colon Sprache Schule.
5) My 2008 Mustang GT arrived in Bremerhaven yesterday. Soon, I get to pick it up and I get to burn some rubber on the Autobahn!

I think you'll find that you can also communicate to Germans from the other end too.

2008 is my year because:

I rock.

Because in 2008 I've already fulfilled a lifelong dream and swam alongside the Hector's dolphins in Akaroa, New Zealand.
With a start like that, how can it not be?

I no longer feel pessimistic. This is turning out to be a fantastic year!

I'm quitting my job to become a house mom, hubby and me are trying for our 3rd child and we are moving (if our visas are approved) to Germany in July. This is going to be one fantastic year.

I have met one very special awesome person... I have made some great friends in Cologne. I only have two home improvements projects left and I am done with my house. I am actually beginning to like my Job and I am learning german. I am way ahead of where I was last year..
