Hi,
Just moved to Berlin and desperately looking for a korean market, or anyplace with good selection of korean groceries. I've been to a couple of asian markets in Berlin but the korean selection was a bit poor. Particularly, I would like to find a place that sells good/decent kim chee and other pre-made side dishes. I brought some stuff from the US but was not willing to fly with kimchee in my luggage.
Thanks
TobyG.

Maybe try the Restaurant "Maru" in Rigaer str., Friedrichshain - of course it's a restaurant, but I saw some packed korean goods in a shelf at the end of the room... Or just ask, it's a really nice staff, I'm sure, they're willing to help you. You may also ask Ixthys or Rotari (some good korean restaurant/snack bar) in
Schöneberg (around Winterfeldtplatz, don't know the exact addresses...)

Can't think of the name of the store offhand, but there is a Korean grocery in Rheinstrasse, near Walter-Schreiber Platz on the U2 line.
It is just a few shops down from an Oxfam shop, so if you google Oxfam Berlin Rheinstrasse, you will have a very good idea where it is located.
What part of Berlin are you in? I know of two other Korean groceries in other parts of Berlin, which may be better located for you. However, the first one has a better selection of kimchee and other goods, in my opinion.

That should have read: on the U9 line.
TobyG and Anzu - thanks you.
Anzu - I live in Charlottenburg but I would go about anywhere in Berlin to get korean groceries. What were the other places you mentioned?

I believe that the big Asian grocery store at Seestrasse (U6, in Wedding) has a pretty good selection of Korean food. Sorry I can't remember the name of the store, but it is right outside the northbound entrance to the U-Bahn.
