Ice skating meet ups, winter 2007/8

it would be fun to go with a group, any suggestions where??

Great idea!!! I love ice skating, but haven't done it for years. Unfortunately I didn't bring my skates with me to Munich, so I can only go somewhere where one can rent skates.

Have a great time but beware: The police are warning against skating on frozen lakes etc. as the ice is still too thin. Three skaters fell through thin ice over the Christmas holidays.

I've seen loads of people skating on Schliersee and Spitzingsee in the mountains. The latter is completely frozen over, plus the surroundings are beautiful.

Prinzregenten and the spot at Karlspl you can rent, I am not 100% sure, but I think you can also rent at Olympic park.

Yep, olympic park does rental but bring 50 euros or EU ID/passport for the deposit.

Sorry bout the short notice, but we are going today to Olympiapark, going to give it a try there,
we meet today at 19hs. at the Ubahn station Olympiazentrum.

Anyway we will be going some other time as well, so don´t panic =)
