Does anyone know the dates for Christmas tree pickup in Hamburg?

I was wondering the same thing and do we leave them outside our door or do they have to go back to where we bought them.

It depends on what sort of set-up you have, but you definitely don't have to bring them back where you bought them. If you bring your garbage to a streetside location, just leave the tree there, preferably out of the way of pedestrians. We just take it to the curb and it gets picked up sooner or later.

Can you not take it to the zoo for the elephants?

There are posters up all over the Ubahn stops. It is probably online too. Mostly somewhere near you is a collection point. Just wait till you see about 50 trees piled up and add yours too it. This should start in about a week (after the 6th).

In Hamburg you can just drop them on the curb and they will be picked up after a few days. I think they start that after the first week in january.
