Folks, Thanks for your attention. I have to choose between Duesseldorf & Cologn for living as I shift from India. One important driver of decision is the international school for children. It seems there are International Schools in both Duesseldorf & in Cologn. Do you folks have an opinion or experience or information on which is a better school ? Thanks for responses

Hello there,

I can say nothing about Duesseldorf as I have only been to the airport there. But I have heard many things about it, which confirms to me that Cologne is the right place for people like us. For us, Cologne is just a wonderful city. Friendly, international and lively. Duesseldorf looks much fancier, but we love the warm-hearted grittiness of Cologne. But I have never been to Duesseldorf, nor know nothing about the schools there.

However, we do have our daughter at the International Peace School here in Cologne and we can wholeheartedly recommend it!!! We are so pleased that we have this wonderful option in Cologne. The school is in its first year, so is still in a temporary structure, and getting itself organized, but this makes absolutely no difference to the quality learning experience of the children. All of the parents I have contact with are equally happy, and it seems to me even the ones I don't have as much contact with (in the other class) are equally enthusiastic So, take a look: http://www.if-koeln.de/en

Good luck in your decision, and please feel free to personal message me for more info!

Make a list of questions and then contact all the schools and ask them. The answers will help you a lot. Different schools offer different things, look at which schools are most compatible with what your children have already covered at school and also, what sort of school they may eventually return to. If they are secondary school age look at what exams the different schools will enter the children for and which have most value in your home country.

I work in the International School of Düsseldorf. It is an excellent school but of course I'm biased. Waiting list for most ES classes though. S
enior School shouldn't be too bad.

Contact Christine Proctor or Maire Reynolds in the Admissions Office 0049 211 9406 800. They will be happy to help.
