Just your prediction, stated clearly for ridicule

Previously I would have put it out in an ashtray. but tonight I tossed the fag in the gutter.
Hardly the clean image Munich wants, oder?

Typical selfish inconsiderate smoker!

Was this a social protest or do you just have no manners?

*wanders off to take a dump in the street because there wasn't a toilet there just as I need one*

Although I normally don't, I fancied a puff tonight so I bummed off a mate.
It was one of the VERY few non smoking bars in Munich 2 so we went outside.

Previously I would have put it out in an ashtray. but tonight I tossed the fag in the gutter.

I'm sure you must be very proud of yourself.

I thought pleased with yourself fits better, but proud will also do.

Good news from another thread ohmy.gif

QUOTE
Right now the council are thinking about cracking down on party goers in Munich.
Bans on street drinking, bans on take away alcohol sales, compuösory bouncers in front of pubs.

Looks like there is going to be a wideranging clamp down on anti-social behaviour. Can't see them not including the smoking posse in their remit - seeing as they can kill two birds with one stone, and all.

Looks like the council is going to get off its arse, and address the issue.

Looks like they are going to find the resources to clamp down on fag-lappers and their anti-social ilk after all who think it is their right to pollute the atmosphere with their smoke and their drunken noise.

Looks like the votes to be gained here protected the local residents who are suffering due to this and other more reasonable guests are greater than the vocal but actually slim smoking lobby. laugh.gif

Mate, you've got to enter it to the spirit of the occasion. The whole thread is a load of guff.

Munich City Council has the power to force pubs to have bouncers, they have the power to ban take away alcohol sales, they have the power to ban street drinking.

What they DON'T have is the power to ban people smoking outside of pubs.
The only action they can take is to fine the pubs if there is anyone outside after 2300.
Smoking ban inside and effectively banned. No wonder so many pubs are now private smoking clubs in Bavaria

Munich City Council have said they weren't going to take any special action regarding the smoking ban anyway and so far they haven't.

Just heard that one of the few pubs round here that has stayed non smoking since January is closing at the end of next month. dry.gif
