Temporary contracts and sick pay

Hoping someone can shine some light on this...
Just been offered a befristet / temporary contract for 3 months. Normal stuff is in there. Hours of work, Brutto stundenlohn. But there is no mention of what happens if I get sick or if I'm entitled to holiday.
Plus it also doesn't mention payments to health insurance/ pension etc.
Is this Normal/Legal?
Can you ask for a permanent contract after the 3 mnths if work is still available?
Any feedback gratefully received.

I have been a contractor for well over 25 years, unless you are on the payroll ie dont have to send time sheets in you will not get Holiday or sick pay
