Texas hold 'em poker game

OK so please lets try to keep this thread simple and short.

I am interested in playing Texas.
If you are too, lets make a date and organize a night of Poker.

Time: So howabout Sundays
Place: Please fill this in since I live with a host familly I am not able to host.

Put your name down in the reply and say if agree on the times and are able to contribute anything else we would need. (poker chips and such)

Do you mean like a proper high-stakes game with lots of real money being exchanged, or like a recreational fun game with a small buy-in that goes into a pot and the winner gets the pot?

I was actualy thinking of making these poker nights somewhat regular so in that sense it works out better for all if the games are small money. Mostly for the love of the game not for an income. Example: everyone puts in a few euros or so and the winner takes it. That way we wont have to return to our homeland early because we spent all our money on Poker. Imagine that story.

id definatly be interested too...the thing is i work weekends till about 11...was wondering what time u guys start??? anyways wheres it at and at what time? i could even host if 12s not too late

let's do it. who will host it? i can't, but i can bring some fresh, juicy water and my lovely self. i say let's play with something like a 10 euro buy-in but if that's too cheap or too otherwise, what do you all think?

Ok so this is obviously a bit confussing so here is what we will do.

Send me an email if you wish to play.
If you also wish to host please mention this too.

I will then, after receiving enough interested players email everyone back for the exact date and time and place of the game.

I think this is the easiest way and quickest to get a game going.

Here is what is already done. Hold'em game tonight with three players confirmed thus far.

Simultaneously there is a second group of people who do not wish to play poker (my wife included) and will play something else like Cranium. For this, there are also three confirmed players.

I posted a "games night" thread because many people will not even look at a poker thread, but want to play other games.

Doors open at 7:30ish and by 8:30 we should be playing. To encourage some beginners to join, we may need to rethink the €10 buyin.
I have 300 chips and several decks of cards. We might need more chips if we go the no buyin route.

Three people are interested in playing for money. Three other people could play, but they are not interested in playing for money.

Who won the pot?

NOFXmike had the most chips when we changed to playing "pass the shit to your neighbor", but we weren't playing for money. All in all, just had a good time and will do this again soon.

Makes me miss Munich even more.

awww...i missed it. went all the way to that place with the weird name but i couldn't find the house. or the street for that matter.
