Grinner inspired me as he cut his down so I did the same. I don't drink beer anymore. A bottle of wine per week is all I often have with lots of that going into the cooking pot.

I think you should be wondering why you get the personal attacks in the first place? I suspect the mods have enough work to do without protecting people that deliberately attract vitriol upon themselves.

I read the thread last night and it was coherent by any standards. I would imagine it was deleted because there were like 3 or 4 topics started in a row. I would have commented on the cuisine thread last night, but wasn't yet in the mood. It was a preemptive strike by the mod(s) and as we now know there were no WMDs (Words for Mod Destruction) and the link to Al Qaeda in the dessert of Saudi Arabia was tenuous at best.

Thank you for the support dear. I only posted a genuinely sensible question about American food. I never intended to get this vitriol. What the hell is wrong with those who enjoy putting me down? Would any of them say those things to my face? And if they think I would get violent that isn't an issue. Most likely I would just laugh at them.
Many of you who say such things sit behind a wall of anonymity and think you can say what you want. It only makes people think you are a bit sad if that is all you can write.
