Christmas party @ Hairy Mary's bar

Hairy Mary's, the unofficial but beloved Toytown Berlin clubhouse (not to be confused with the new "official" but not-so-beloved Toytown Berlin bar), are hosting a Christmas Party this Friday 14 December. They're planning to mix up a vat of egg nog (I tasted the test batch tonight, and I wholeheartedly approve) and they're importing real mince pies from England. They're on Diedenhoferstrasse 5, right next to the Prenzlauer Berg Wasserturm, and they usually open their doors around 8 or 8:30 pm.

If you stop by (and you damned well should) look for me; I'll be the one with the mouth full of mince pie and the belly full of bourbon.

And just in case that description is not clear enough, I'd like to point out that he will also be the one very ginger hair- so he sticks out.

Oh yeah -- there's a gift exchange too. If you bring something worth less than 5 euros to throw in the gift bag, then at midnight you get to fish out a gift and find out just how bad everyone else's taste is. (Or you could save the 5 euros to buy yourself a Darby, which is what I'll probably do.)

I had a great time! I was the bloke with the crazy gray and black beard who stayed til 5AM and was/is "long in the tooth" and an invite of John's -- I enjoyed meeting you all and the Nog was well worth the travel via S and U!
