Talked with a couple of people over the weekend about getting a drinks night on for Thursday, 13.12.2007 at the Weihnachtsmarkt for a few Glühwein. Thinking 7:30/8 for a meet up time outside of Saturn at Hauptwache. Then after the stalls close at 9 we can wander down to another bar in the area e.g. Mantis, Buena Vista, Leib & Seele etc. Anyone else fancy meeting up or have other suggestions?

Is Glühwein expensive?

You could bring a hip flask and put your own rum in if you want to save costs. I think 2€ a glass at the market not 100% certain.

Oh €2 isn't bad. May bring hipflask anyway.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT pour any contents of your hipflask into my boyfriends Glühwein.

Remember that you have to pay the pfand for the un-characteristic Gluehwein cup (Made in China as per an article on the FAZ) and if you spike it too much and brake it...you may need several cups

Amanda you will be pleased to learn that there is little chance of your bf's drink getting spiked as I don't think I will be able to make it I get paid on the Friday which means that money is very tight at the moment.

be warned, it is very strong stuff ! i had only two a few weeks ago (on an empty stomach though) and I was quite battered ! and i reckon I am a bit of a battle weary drinker by this stage !

Sorry guys I can't come after all. As usual I had been over ambitious of the amount of packing I'd get done for skiing this week and still need to get skis out of cellar, organise laundry etc

8pm at saturn i guess? or meet at market if later... i'll be in town from about 1830 hopefully doing some xmas shopping so hope i don't get caught up s-; - i know the shops aren't chucking out at 8pm today (-;
