EyeTV with an Apple Mac (or TV tuners in general)

Is this a reasonable option for TV reception?

Hi all

Has anyone had experience using EyeTV for a Mac? I'm looking at the Hybrid Digital + Analogue version and it seems like quite a useful product! What sort of TV connection do I need? Are there any stations that one can pick up using just an aerial (analogue or digital) with this thing?

I used it for a while, it was quite good. I just used the aerial digital version, I got around 12 channels

Ah great, that sounds promising. Anything worthwhile out of the 12 channels?
Assuming I get a proper subscription setup later, is it possible to wirelessly broadcast to EyeTV (say in the bedroom)?

I previously sublet an apartment that had some sort of set top box and aerial... but it was a real finnicky thing. Hopefully this won't be too bad!

I use the hybrid and it is great get the same amount of channels as by the box, reception is good, although for my flat atthe back of a hof low down I had to get a bigger antenna, I am very impressed, stronger than the DVB box my wife has. less break up and great recordings. I can only recommend it. great when I go back to england for capturing english TV although unfortunately arrived at the time of eastenders and wondered why I had come back.
