Region coding of DVDs bought in Germany
Will discs bought here be playable abroad?
Just need to know if the DVDs we buy here in Germany are universally playble i.e. in Canada. Sorry if this is a dumb question.
The majority of discs in Europe are region 2 (only) and the majority in North America are region 1 (only).
Unless your player has been modified to be region free, it will not play discs from outside its own area.

They will always play on region free players that support PAL and NTSC output for the AV equipment you are playing it on.
