Brits and American football, why can't they let it go?

Hey look, a Super Bowl!

mh75, you're getting pretty upset over a bunch of people miles away (whom you don't know & are probably never likely to meet) saying American football is boring, not a sport, for pansies (do you know what one of them is!!) etc. Why on earth do you care what we think about that sissy borning non-game

Because you are misinformed, especially if you've never played it before. Roll your eyes all you want, but if you played American football and took some realtime hits, you would change your tune.

The flip side is that I started bashing soccer or rugby, you guys would be all over me...kinda like you all are right now.

There is nothing wrong with my posting. You're the one that got all 'cheeky' and decided to start calling names, I just reciprocated.

See, eurovol, you're the only one who got it right when you said that Americans were not allowed to have opinions on soccer. You know what, i can live with that, BUT i never had bad words about that sport. The only thing is that if someone or group has the audacity to hold that attitude, then the flipside is that they should not be able to have opinions on America's biggest sport either.

Wouldn't you agree with that?

eurovol isn't allowed to have an opinion cos he's infamously and repetively posted directly out of his anus on this board

Apart from all the double posting and your quote skills no, but there is something wrong with your comprehension o what I have written. Go over them, I clearly state I find AF boring, that's an opinion and thus doesn't rely on intimate knowledge of the game. Don't think you're special cos I called you names, everyone gets that kinda love.
mh75
OK, timmy, read this real slow you might understand it better...

Your words:"American "Football" doesn't qualify as a game, let alone a sport. Things must actually happen in games & sport."

Please tell me WHERE that says you think it is boring and that is your opinion? It doesn't, so yes, comprehension is an issue for you.

And on post#92 you used the term "fucking muppet." So in addition to comprehension problems, you're a fucking tool as well.

Work on these things and you too can improve your posting skills!

I appreciate that. Since you've played it, you realize it is a hard game and not a sissy sport.

I thought that timmy was the one posting out his arse on the board...

FFS - do we now have to suffix everything that we post with 'in my opinion' in order to make if fucking clear that we are espousing opinions and not facts? Jesus H Fucking Christ. I quit.

IMO - I've no idea what this thread is about, cos the content bears no relation to the topic title. IMO of course.

EDIT: To squeeze in my own opinion about the title question. In 5 years of living here, I have never once had a German mention anything to me about 1966 and equally I will not mention it either seeing as they have won World Cups(Plural), we have won a World Cup(Singular).
Jeeves
In my opinion I tried to drag it back but was somewhat lacking in success. The vast majority of posts on this thread bears as little relation to the title topic as the posts in the gayest of gays crap do to any of the titles the thread has had.

If you don't make provocative, incorrect, stupid ass comments like timmy, then you don't have to.

Was just thinking about a friend of mine.

He absolutely insists that there is one "sentence" that every English person can say in German: Fumf Eins (that's how he puts it...)

Is he right? ph34r.gif

edit: of course I know, "Eins Fumf" would be the right way round...
Schotte
He probably means "Eins Fünf" or even "Fünf Eins"

Fumf is something to do with Flumps I think smile.gif

The bit in bold tells you nothing happens in the sport ie Boring, sorry if that's too cryptic for you. Anyway, I made it quite clear in the subsequent posts that I found it boring. The first bit is called "sarcasm" I know you don't know what that means, but it's used quite prolificly on this site.

Mind you it's still a fucking disgrace the England football team hasn't won anything significant since '66. Despite the long wait, and the regular humiliation at Wembley, it's nice when we win, it's nicer when we piss the Germans off at the same time. Now that reminds me...

I know what sarcasm is, but you are now REALLY spinning. You said one thing as if you had knowledge on a subject, and you didn't and now you are trying to claim something else...

Go give your hug to schotte...he is the flaming one in need of your manlove.

Having said that, I'm German too biggrin.gif

Why am I misinformed? About what?? I find American football exceedingly boring and I have tried to enjoy it, I have an American husband who spouts off the same sh*t about having to know the rules, playing the game etc and I still fail to see how that is going to make me find the game any less boring~but each to his own!

You can bash football or rugby all you want, I really don't give a monkeys what you think about it and hey you can even have Wayne Rooney too.

Hey let us know when you have an American football world cup, maybe our rugby team can show you what the game is about biggrin.gif
