Hello,
Next week i am traveling to Monchengladbach and I have to commute from Düsseldorf HBF to Monchengladbach HBF.
I have noticed Germans have various ticket prices.

Preisstufe
>> Preisstufe A EUR 5,00

>> Preisstufe B EUR 9,70
>> Preisstufe C EUR 21,20

Which one should I buy ? (I want to buy online a "tagesticket" in advance and thats why I am asking)

Thanks form Your help
Ralph

Hi,

A quick look at the VRR website (www.vrr.de) suggests that this trip is Tariff C (which I would also expect, it's a fair distance). If you search the online timetable, it gives full details including tariff. Looks like it takes about half an hour on the S-Bahn or RE. For more general info on zones, there are quite a few leaflets on the same site, including some in English.

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Matthew.

Hi! Will you be travelling between Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach only once or on several days, weeks months? There are no return tickets but "4-Fahrten-Karten" (for four journeys) which are cheaper than buying four single tickets. If you want to travel for several months a Ticket 1000 might be a cheaper alternative.
