Hi,

does anyone know whether you are obliged to accept a German course when it is offered by the Arbeitsamt and when you are receiving arbeitlosengeld ?
LIMA
You are obliged to do just about anything and everything that the AA requires of you if you are in reciept of benefits. Refusal could mean up to 12 weeks "Sperre" - that means...no cash!!

Why shouldn`t you do it...its free, may give you some sort of certificate and as you`re unemployed -you`ve got nothing better to do!!! They are in a sense "Paying your wages" at the minute and so you should be prepared to "Work" for them.

thats the way they see it. smile.gif
