My 1st Recipe contribution to TT. Piece of piss to make.
1 table spoon of Tomato Puree
1lb Minced Beef
1 onion (chopped)
2 sticks of celery
spring onions
tomatoes
1 red or green pepper
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of thyme
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 clove of crushed garlic
1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
Tabasco sauce
salt & pepper
1 cup of long grain rice
1 pint of vegetable stock
Fry the mince off with the spices and add the chopped onions and garlic. Cook for 2 mins then add the chopped celery and pepper and cook for a further 2 mins.
Season and cook for a further 2 mins.
Add to the pan the cup of rice, tomato puree and stock - mix together.
Add as much or as little of the tabasco sauce as you want, cover & simmer (stir once or twice), until all the stock has been absorbed by the rice.
Add a few chopped fresh tomatoes and spring onions, mix in and serve.
